This is a photo of me at Toronto Pride’s Trans March in 2023. Gender and sexually diverse individuals experience reduced access to quality health care and under-utilization of health care services because of both individual and systemic discrimination. As a queer-identifying trans non-binary person, it is my privilege to offer open and inclusive nursing care to members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
